Boston Dynamics – No Robo Dogs for ICE

Spot is now Cerberus – Sign the petition to Boston

We are continuing to put pressure on Boston Dynamics to not sell robo dogs to ICE. Now being modified by CT RADeCO to be even more intimidating, These companies must be taken to task as enablers of ICE’s inhumane activities.’

Boston Dynamics has sold 4 robot-dogs to ICE – we demand that the state rescind the $25 million economic development tax credit it gave to Boston Dynamics, which will come out of the pockets of all Massachusetts taxpayers.
The robot dogs can spy on innocent people, knock down doors, and even attack people by delivering toxic irritants.
Boston Dynamics has typically been a “good corporate citizen,” and its plans to expand in Waltham reflect a commitment to the city and the state. But ICE has shown itself to be a rogue force and a threat to immigrants, legal residents and US citizens. Boston Dynamics’ vision statement states, “We see a world where robotics drives global progress, makes work safer, strengthens economies, and expands human potential.”
Amplifying ICE’s capacity to attack innocent people, violate civil rights and destroy families does not expand human potential.
Although ICE claims to target only “the worst of the worst,” ICE’s own data show that only about 3% of detainees have been convicted of a serious crime. Nevertheless, ICE persists in violating civil rights by detaining US citizens (including children), refusing to abide by court orders, and using unnecessary physical force resulting in injuries and fatalities throughout US communities. Most alarmingly, they violate the law with complete impunity. The murderers of Renee Nicole Good, Alex Pretti and Ruben Ray Martinez have not even been indicted.
Massachusetts has already made it clear that immigrants are a critical part of our community, and that we will take whatever steps we can to protect immigrants and limit ICE activity here. Passage of the PROTECT Act in August of 2026 demonstrated the state’s commitment to civil rights for all its residents.
That’s why, if Boston Dynamics goes ahead with its a planned sale of its robot dogs to ICE, we support nonviolent protests against them; and we ask Massachusetts to rescind its award of a $25 million economic development tax credit. We cannot claim to protect our residents while at the same time we provide a subsidy to create weapons used against them.
